Therapies We Offer

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a popular therapy due to its strong evidence base, logical approach and excellent recovery rates. This is a short term, structured therapy, which can be used to treat a range of common difficulties including Anxiety, Depression and Stress.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Re-processing (EMDR)

EMDR is a short term, focused therapy predominantly used to treat PTSD by harnessing the minds own ability to process traumatic events. This approach has a strong evidence based for treating trauma and a developing evidence base for treating other Anxiety & Depression conditions.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Mindfulness is widely recognised for its benefits on wellbeing, particularly in helping people to become more present and less preoccupied with thoughts. The greatest evidence base for Mindfulness is in relapse prevention for recurrent Depression and pain management, although there is a growing evidence base in other areas also.

Sereno Therapy Client Feedback

“I could not have got a better service. At all times I was made to feel that my worries were important and how to sort them out. I feel more relaxed and in control.”

Raj

“My therapist has been incredible at listening to my problems and challenges. She provided fantastic tools to help me improve and maintain my overall health”

Emily

“Really useful experience, especially given how I was feeling. I have tried different therapy types before which didn’t achieve anything. Although I had to overcome my initial skepticism, it’s honestly been a life-changing experience and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who feels they might need help.”

Anon

“I had previously had therapy somewhere else but wasn’t happy to go back there. My current therapist put me at ease straight away. I have found she has given me the support I required and has worked with me on my goals. I feel I would not be in the positive position I am today without her sessions. I would definitely recommend to friends / family as someone who is approachable and impartial.”

Jo

“My therapist was great and really helped me get to the route of my anxiety and learn techniques to overcome this. She helped me through a challenging time and to identify the different elements / triggers. I feel in control and have the tools to overcome this going forward. Thank you! I can’t wait to get my sparkle back”
